The Maha Kumbh Mela is held at Prayag during the month of Magha (January & February), where bathing on the new moon day holds immense spiritual significance. The Kumbh Mela at Haridwar takes place in Phalgun and Chaitra (February/March/April). In Ujjain, it is celebrated in Vaishakha (May) and in Nashik during Shravana (July)
